Outdoor experiences, or camping, may be one of the best cures for the "May sickness." Outdoor camping is becoming more and more popular among young people. Think of it as getting away from the concrete jungle of the big city, hiking up to the top of the mountain, identifying unknown flowers and strains of fungi along the way; camping by a stream at night with a campfire; or learning the true meaning of life in the jungle in a fight to the death with a North American brown bear. In addition to finding "heads to eat," we also need coffee as fuel for our ongoing activities, so how can we not have the novel experience of making coffee in the wild?
"Ezpresso" is a portable hand-press espresso coffee maker. In addition to making the using process more streamlined, it also increases the possibility of a place to drink coffee. Bring users more convenience and experience. This project aims to design a portable espresso maker that can be used outdoors or in other places such as the workplace.

The project intends to design for the outdoors, so I chose many outdoor elements to combine into the appearance. For the squeezing handle, I used the shape of a twig for higher structural strength. And for the filter basket, I used the texture of flowing water to increase the friction and facilitate unscrewing. Overall style-wise, minimalistic forms are designed with refined details to create a desirable, high-quality product. The body parts are made from high-quality stainless steel. They are vacuum insulated so that you won't get scalded when pouring hot water (cold water is also available). It’s designed for clean use, with a minimal number of parts for the user to interact with.
Ezpresso uses a hydraulic system that complies with Pascal's principle to boost the extraction force of espresso. Pascal's principle (the principle of transmission of fluid pressure) is the principle in fluid Mechanics that States a change in pressure at any point in an enclosed fluid at rest is transmitted undiminished to all points in the fluid. This hydraulic Compressor of Ezpresso is designed to retain high pressure over 9 bars until espresso is fully extracted.

Available in 4 color options. Black and white are suitable for any scene. I chose two colors for the outdoor scene, yellow to represent the energy of outdoor activities and the other is green to represent the natural environment.
